Pamela Anne Soetaert Nelson, 63, Atlanta, Ga., sister of Maggie Doherty of Paola, died Feb. 28, 2010. Services will be Saturday at St. John LaLande Catholic Church, 805 NW R.D. Mize Road, Blue Springs, MO 64015. Visitation will begin at 8:45 a.m. followed by services at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Vincent de Paul, St. Martin de Porres or MACLA (Medical Aid for Children of Latin America), 4444 Belleview, Ste. 204, Kansas City, MO 64116. Arrangements are by Park Lawn Funeral Home, (816) 523-1234. Katherine Jean Prihoda, 52, Poway, Calif., formerly of the Block community, died Feb. 20, 2010. She attended Trinity Lutheran School at Block and graduated from Paola High School with the class of 1976. Survivors include her brother, Steve Prihoda of Palacios, Texas, and an aunt, Lois Moore of Paola. She was cremated, and services have taken place. Barbara Jean Richards, 64, Pleasanton, died March 2, 2010, at the Mercy Health Center at Fort Scott. A memorial visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Coffel-Schneider Funeral Home, 816 Main St., Pleasanton, KS 66075, (913) 352-6101. Condolences may be left for the family at www.coffelschneider.com. Kevin R. Sharp, 42, Overland Park, died March 2, 2010. Visitation will be from 3 to 4 p.m. Saturday and services at 2 p.m. Sunday at McGilley & Hoge Chapel, 8024 Santa Fe Drive, Overland Park, KS, (913) 642-3565. Brenda J. Williams, 56, Kansas City, Mo., formerly of Osawatomie, died Feb. 26, 2010, at home. Survivors include five sisters: Sharon Hopson of Dallas, and Marva Hopson, Ramona Robinson, Delores Smith and April Williams, all of Olathe. A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Olathe VFW, 1205 Ott St. Memorials may be made to the Brenda J. Williams Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 4344, Olathe, KS 66063.
